QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS OF A RANDOM SAMPLE SELECTED AT 3rd GYMNASIO IRAKLIOU KRITIS

25 questionnaires were distributed to parents of C class students, of which 14 were returned. 

23 questionnaires were distributed to parents of A class students, of which 18 were returned. 

 

ALL PARENTS REPLIED THAT THEY ARE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE CHOICE OF THE 3RD GYMNASIUM FOR THEIR CHILDREN’S EDUCATION. 

ALL PARENTS THINK THAT THEIR CHILD IS GETTING A GOOD EDUCATION AT OUR SCHOOL. 

    ALL PARENTS SAID THAT THEY WANT THEIR CHILD TO ACHIEVE HIGH GRADES AT SCHOOL, BECAUSE GOOD GRADES OFFER STUDENTS:

 

MORAL SATISFACTION AND SELF CONFIDENCE 

A REWARD FOR THEIR EFFORTS AT SCHOOL 

ENHANCE THE STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION TO PERFORM WELL AT SCHOOL 

CONTRIBUTE TO STUDENTS’ HIGH PROGRESS AND ACHIEVEMENT IN THE FUTURE. 

  All parents said that they want their child to go to university or other higher education institution, because:

UNIVERSITY OFFERS MORE SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE 

UNIVERSITY DEGREES CONTRIBUTE TO FUTURE EMPLOYMENT, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CAREER PROSPECTS.

Only 5 parents said that they do not help their son/daughter with his/her homework.  

All parents said that the school does enough to ensure that their son/daughter gets a good education.

What can the school do to make sure your child enjoys school:

 

ORGANIZE MORE EXCURSIONS AND FIELD TRIPS.

FOCUS ON TEAM WORK, PROJECT WORK AND COOPERATION IN GROUPS TO REINFORCE STUDENTS’ INTERACTION.

PLACE EMPHASIS ON CREATIVITY AND CRITICAL THINKING.

IMPLEMENT INNOVATIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS.

OFFER PRACTICAL WORKSHOPS.

INCLUDE MORE ART.

ENSURE A SAFE, SECURE AND PROTECTIVE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT.

STIMULATE STUDENTS’ INTERESTS.

HAVE A BIGGER SCHOOLYARD.

PUT LESS PRESSURE ON THE STUDENTS.

NOT TO BE IMPERSONAL, ESTABLISH A FRIENDLY SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT.

THE TEACHERS SHOULD BE UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENT WITH THE STUDENTS.

What can the school do to ensure your child gets a good education:
